What's the minimum order quantity for custom cups?
Minimum order quantities vary by cup type and manufacturer. Cold cups (PET) typically start at 5,000-10,000 units, while hot cups can start as low as 2,500-5,000 units depending on the style. We'll help you find the right manufacturer for your volume. If you're just starting out and the minimums feel high, we can discuss options — including splitting an order across multiple designs or starting with a simpler print method.
How long does it take from design to delivery?
Design typically takes 1-2 weeks. Manufacturing and printing usually take 3-6 weeks depending on the cup type, quantity, and factory schedule. Shipping adds 1-3 weeks depending on origin and method. In total, expect 6-10 weeks from kickoff to having cups in hand. Rush production is sometimes available at a premium — ask us during your consultation if your timeline is tight.
Can I see a sample before committing to a full order?
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Most manufacturers offer pre-production samples — a small batch printed with your actual design so you can verify colors, print quality, and cup feel before the full production run. Samples typically cost $50-150 and take 2-3 weeks. It's a small investment that prevents expensive surprises.
Do you design the cup artwork or do I need to provide it?
We design everything. You provide your logo and any brand guidelines you have, and we create the cup artwork — designing the layout, colors, and any patterns or messages. We make sure your logo is sized correctly, colors are converted for print, and the design wraps around the cup properly. You'll review and approve everything before it goes to production.
What cup sizes and materials should I choose for my business?
It depends on what you serve. Cold cups (PET): 12oz for small drinks, 16oz for standard iced coffees, 20oz for smoothies and larger beverages, 24oz for extra-large. Hot cups: 8oz for espresso drinks, 12oz for standard coffee, 16oz for large lattes, 20oz for extra-large. We'll walk you through the options based on your menu and help you pick the right sizes and materials.
Can you match my brand colors exactly on the cups?
We use your brand's exact color codes (Pantone, CMYK, or HEX) and work with manufacturers who use professional printing equipment. While minor variation is inherent in any printing process, we specify your colors precisely and review proofs to ensure they're as close as possible. Pre-production samples are the best way to confirm color accuracy before the full run.
